Sarah Gregson: Community Partnerships & Engagement
Sarah is a community arts and engagement specialist with a particular interest in arts and health and evaluating the impact of engagement work..
After gaining a degree in Drama, Sarah trained as an actor and then worked as a freelance community artist and theatre maker in Wales for 5 years. In this time Sarah worked as a performer producer, director, tutor and session singer. In 2007 Sarah move to Oxford to work with the Learning Team at Oxford Playhouse and to pursue her secret passion, Rock and Roll, with the band The Long Insiders.
From 2009 to 2011 Sarah stepped out of the arts industry for a while working as a Pastoral Support Manager in a secondary school whilst completing an MA in Childhood and Youth Studies. This was a fascinating insight into supporting young people with social, emotional and learning needs, which has informed her work since then.
In 2011 Sarah joined the team at Corn Exchange Newbury as Learning & Participation Manager and has worked over the last 7 years to build the multi-arts Get Involved programme. This year, Sarah set up Wonderful World of Stories, running events for families with preschool children (just like hers) in both indoor and outdoor settings.
