Resident Artist – ‘What We Missed’
Libertine Vale is a free motion embroider who specialises in social commentary and out of the box thinking which is reflected in her work. She will take up residence at the Picnic and gather your musings on the last year, the year ‘we’ missed, she will commit them to fabric and thread. This will create a string of flags, and artwork preserving your feelings both positive and negative prompted by the recent periods of lockdown. The flags will be displayed at Street Festival Monday where Libertine will again take up residence and continue her work in the Shambles throughout the day. Come and share your thoughts on the year gone by and what you have missed the most and be part of this beautiful new work.
