About DOCA Markets

DOCA hosts a range of markets throughout the year, bringing together food producers, makers, and traders alongside our cultural programme. From lively outdoor markets to indoor craft events and special stand-alone projects.

We support high quality, thoughtful trading that complements our events and reflects DOCA’s commitment to creativity, community, and sustainability.

Our Regular Markets

Event Day Markets

Alongside many of DOCA’s events, festivals and celebrations, we host outdoor markets in the Market Place. These markets run as part of a wider programme and offer food, drink, and market stalls that contribute to the atmosphere of the day.

You can expect a mix of:

• Local food producers
  
• Street food and drink
  
• Market stalls offering interesting, well-made, or locally sourced products
  

The Makery

The Makery is DOCA’s indoor craft market, featuring a changing selection of local makers. Held in the Corn Exchange, The Makery focuses on handmade and small-batch work, offering visitors the chance to meet makers and discover thoughtfully made products.

The Makery coincides with other DOCA activities.

Festival of Discovery 2026

17 and 18 October

We are thrilled to be putting on the Festival of Discovery this year on the 17th and 18th October. There will be events across Devizes focusing on various themes that make this town so wonderful. 

In Devizes Market Place we will have a Feast for the Senses. Music, food, aromas and beautiful items to take home. We will also have a youth zone, a nature zone and an area dedicated to Devizes heritage and traditions all of which may include stalls too.  

We are looking for traders and crafts people who create high quality food and handmade items. Please fill in this form by the 28th August and we will contact you as soon as possible. 

The Makers Exchange

23 and 24 May

The Makers Exchange is a new, stand-alone event developed by DOCA and distinct from our regular markets.

Taking place over a full weekend in the Corn Exchange, The Makers Exchange brings together exceptional regional makers for a lively programme of selling, demonstrations, workshops, and music. It is a celebration of contemporary making, skill, and process, creating a busy, social environment where visitors can meet makers, see work in progress, and take part.

The Makers Exchange is designed as a destination event and a highlight of DOCA’s programme.

Information for Traders

DOCA works with traders who offer high quality, interesting, and well-presented work. Our markets are curated to complement our cultural programme and to create an engaging experience for audiences.

Food and drink producers should:

• Hand-produce their food
  
• Use local, seasonal, ethical, or Fairtrade ingredients where possible
  
• Use recyclable or biodegradable packaging
  
• Offer interesting or distinctive produce or cuisines
  

Please note: ice cream vans must apply via DOCA’s annual tender process. Please email for details.

Designer-makers and traders should:

• Offer innovative or contemporary work
  
• Be knowledgeable about their products, materials, and processes
  
• Present work that is distinctive and well made
  
• Consider environmental and ethical impact where possible
  

Vintage traders should:

• Deal in high quality vintage clothing, homewares, furniture, or collectables
  
• Have strong knowledge of their stock
  
• Offer interesting and affordable items
  

Environmental considerations

DOCA is working to phase out single-use plastics across all events. Traders who share this commitment and use environmentally responsible packaging and materials are prioritised.

Applying to trade

All potential traders must submit an application form via the links below. Applications are reviewed by DOCA, and successful applicants will be contacted by email.

If accepted, traders will be asked to provide safety and insurance documentation and to make payment to secure their pitch. Final event information, including pitch location and set-up details, will be sent at least one week before each market.

Pitch locations are allocated by DOCA to ensure markets complement the wider programme.

Please note: outdoor traders are responsible for providing their own stall cover or gazebo.
