We are offering DIY Lantern Making Kits that contain the materials needed to make your own lantern at home. Lantern Kits are made to order and can only be purchased by ordering in advance.
Lantern kits are £5 payable on collection. We do offer lantern kits for free for low income households. You can request one the form
For safety reasons, the kit will not include a light or batteries. Our team will fit a light into your lantern on the day of the lantern parade (Friday 28th November). Instructions on where and when to come for this will be included in the kit.
Please note lantern kits will be made to order and cannot be purchased without filling out this order form in advance. Order deadline – 8th November 2025. (If you’d like to receive your kit earlier than this in order to make it during half term, please fill this form out by 24th October and they’ll be ready for collection on Sunday 26th October

The kit includes basic instructions, if you would like some more lantern-making inspiration head over to YouTube for some tutorials on all different sized and shaped lanterns.

- 4 sheets of wet strength tissue
