The New Kings Carnival Project
DOCA is excited to be working with Ginkgo projects on a community event aimed at residents of the new Kings Gate estate in Amesbury, with thanks to Arts Council England, Bloor Homes and Amesbury Area Board for funding.
DOCA led a new partnership to create a spectacular entry for Amesbury Carnival, which also appeared at Devizes Carnival on July 13th 2019, with the Woolly Mammoth.
We worked in Kings Gate, a new estate in Amesbury where over 4,200 homes have been built creating a new community, many of whom are military families. The project aimed to create and engage the new community & connect them with the existing residents & the heritage of the local area.
We created an exciting project which will be delivered by Beautiful Creatures Theatre with a group of local people of all ages to create an exciting entry in the 2019 Amesbury Carnival.
