Festival Makers
We are always on the look-out for new Festival Makers to volunteer at DOCA events throughout the year. These wonderful individuals help make the events what they are. They help artists, make visitors welcome, sell programmes, and collect donations (amongst other tasks) across all of our events.
In 2019 at the Street Festival alone, our Festival makers clocked up an impressive 500 hours helping us running the event. On top of that, we have our annual Picnic in the Park, Confetti Battle, Colour Rush, Carnival, Lantern Parade and workshops, and the Festival of Winter Ales.
Being a Festival Maker is a great way to gain work experience, add to a CV, give back to the community, build lasting relationships and be part of something really special. No previous experience is necessary, and you can give as little, or as much time as suits you. You can be on the front line taking an active part in our events, behind the scenes, or even helping with marketing.
