Our Winter Festival is well attended by lantern bearers and audiences alike. The day time tends to be quieter but as soon as the lanterns arrive in the Market Place the atmosphere changes significantly.  There is a general buzz with our indoor crafts market and a market in the Shambles in full swing throughout the duration of the event.  We have extended trading hours by 30 minutes for the Outdoor market as audiences seemed keen to linger and shop at the end of the 2017 event.

Each year we run our own mulled wine stall, which raises much needed funds for DOCA. We also work with local breweries, so do not accept applications from companies that look to run their own bar at this event.

DOCA is in charge of both the Outside Market in the Market Place and the Craft Market in the Corn Exchange. We are also looking to work with the Black Swan pub to introduce a market in their courtyard this year. For the market in the Shambles, please contact Wiltshire Council directly

Over the next three years DOCA is looking to phase single use plastics out of all of their events. During this time, we will start looking more favourably on market traders who share this ethos and use alternatives such as wooden cutlery or vegware and are becoming more environmentally friendly about their packaging. In future years this will be part of our selection process

This will take place around the Devizes Market Place during the day and into the evening. Usual trading hours are 12.30pm – 9pm. We are limited as to the amount of electricity points that we can offer and have allocated them all. Please bring your own generators if power is required, ensure they are silent and do not emit fumes.  Please bring your own gazebo.


The Indoor Market for the 2018 event is now full.

Usual trading times are 2.30pm – 8.30pm. 6ft tables will be provided, please bring your own tablecloths etc. We are limited to power points available for traders, and these have been already allocated. Please make sure that any electrical equipment you bring is battery powered.


Our Suitcase stalls were a successful addition to the 2017 market, so we are bringing them back and hoping to add more! We are happy to host you both indoors and out.

These are aimed at small scale sellers with a particular focus on local makers offering unique and individual products. We particularly like to support start up businesses.  Stalls are limited to MAXIMUM 1m x 1m, and stall holders will need to bring their own table if needed.

Please note there will be no cover for suitcase stalls outdoors so traders should bring their own parasol or golf umbrella if required. Gazebos are not permitted for suitcase pitches.
