Pirate Taxi 2025
About Pirate Taxi & Pirates of the Carabina Pirate Taxi joined us for a sunny Saturday in May at The Mind Tree Cafe in Rowde bringing their London cab and hilarious and wonderful artistry. Taking place in, on and around an old-school London Taxi, PIRATE TAXI is performed by a cast of two and is suitable for all ages. It has all the hallmarks of a Pirates of the Carabina (POTC) show – original live music, humour, a mechanically ingenious set, and extraordinary aerial performance. Sometimes serious, but more often funny, PIRATE TAXI tells the directors’ own tale of finding

Hosted by PF Events and run by a professional video engineer, these sessions will cover the basics of projection mapping and introduce attendees to the software used to create beautiful works of technological art.
Aimée Payton – Makers Market Manager
Aimée Payton joined DOCA in 2025 as Makers Market Manager. Based in nearby Rowde, she is a creative practitioner specialising in upholstery and handmade lampshades, and regularly exhibits at fairs and exhibitions. Aimée is also co-founder of the Modern Makers Collective, through which she has organised popular makers markets and workshops since 2020. She is passionate about supporting makers and giving communities the chance to discover and enjoy high-quality handmade work. Aimée is excited to bring her experience, creativity, and enthusiasm to DOCA’s Makers Market, helping it grow as a vibrant, welcoming event for both artists and visitors.

Richard Day – Trustee
Richard has lived in Devizes for 17 years and in that time has been involved in a number of local community activities. He worked initially in the travel industry and later merged this with an interest in the built environment sector running businesses for a number of well-known organisations, setting up new ventures and operating as a turn-around specialist.
